My husband is a snorer, and for years I have slept with those foam earplugs that I had to cram down into my ear canals. Not only were they uncomfortable, but it can't possibly be good for your ears to shove something down into them. So, when I read reviews of good9sleep's earplugs, I was skeptical, but willing to try anything. What a nice surprise to find that just by mashing that little bit of silicone in the outer part of my ear opening, it would make such a difference. Some women complained that their hair gets caught in the silicone, and that's occasionally true, but I find it's a small price to pay to sleep peacefully and comfortably. I have small ear openings, and this makes a package last twice as long! I wear each pair for about a week before they get a bit grungy and need to be replaced. I highly recommend them to long suffering folks who have bed-mates that snore. They don't, of course, completely block all the noise, (I can still hear my alarm in the morning), but they certainly muffle it so much that it doesn't interfere with a good night's sleep. Thank you, Good9Sleep!
I buy these earplugs because they block out the noise better than the older type foam ear plugs. They are quite comfortable. Also, you can get the pieces of putty and make them to fit the size of your ear. A big bonus as I'm petite and some ear plugs hurt my ears from being too large.
These earplugs are my new travel companion. I can never sleep on a flight and decided to try these earplugs to see if they would help to get me through all of my holiday traveling (of course i can't travel now thx to covid unfortunately) - life changing earplugs! I finally was able to relax and rest on my flights like never before and on top of that caught some great sleep at my parent's house despite having my snoring dad in the next room. Do not hesitate to buy these earplugs, they will improve your sleep immensely. Don't waste your time with knock off brands - trust me, from my experience, you will not get the same result!
Because of my wife's snoring and my light sleeping, I have been searching in recent weeks for earplugs that will muffle the sound of snoring to improve my sleep. I first bought highly rated foam earplugs. They were hard to insert, hurt my ears and did little muffling. I then determined that I had small ear canals and bought foam earplugs designed for smaller canals. These inserted better, but didn't muffle sound much. Lastly, I bought the silicone moldable earplugs and they do the job for me. These earplugs aren't foam, but soft silicone. They come flat, you roll them into a ball and then you press them into your outer ear, not your ear canal. They muffle sound significantly (I think the rating is 22 decibels less), but not totally. They also don't hurt your ears and are comfortable to wear. I'm very pleased that I have found modestly priced earplugs that work and don't have to buy expensive custom molded earplugs.
Easy to use, convenient, they allow oneself to sleep at any type of noisy venue, even on the side of a highway. How about when you are trying to sleep at an elegant plush expensive hotel but the noise of the air conditioning or the freezer does not let you fall asleep? I never ever go anywhere without these plugs!
